Allen Plantation

The property, 213.37± acres known as “Allen Plantation,” is located on County Road 491, Citrus County, Lecanto, FL 34461. Allen Plantation is zoned for residential and commercial development and has been planned for 809 residential units of which 452 units will be within the LDR, Low Density Residential (136.02± acres) zoning, 356 units within the MDR, Medium Density Residential (65.99± acres) zoning and GNC, General Commercial (11.36± acres).

Phase I is planned to include 406 units comprised of 106 villa lots, 129 estate lots (80’ x 120’ or 150’) and 171 townhouse lots (24’ x 90’ or 115’). There is also to be recreation tract and commercial development along County Road 491 comprised of three parcels and three buildings (33,000 sq. ft., 20,000 sq. ft. and 10,000 sq. ft., respectively). The property has been in the preliminary platting stage since 2006. It was indicated that in 2008 a three-year extension was granted to 3/30/2011.
