Jay knows business. With over 25 years of franchise management experience, he understands all the issues involved in starting and maintaining a successful business operation. He understands environmental issues, codes, and keeping an eye out for development opportunities.

As an experienced advisor, Jay’s in-depth understanding of operational issues, along with his marketing and promotional skills, will ensure that your property is marketed correctly to attract qualified prospective buyers. His analytical skills mean he exercises a great deal of thoroughness and diligence in working with each customer, but you’ll really enjoy his warm and responsive approach to business relationships.

Jay was the president of the Fargo-Moorhead Area Commercial Realtors organization in 2019; his second time in this position over the last decade.

In August 2008, Jay earned the coveted CCIM designation. A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. Only 6% of the estimated 150,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold the CCIM designation, which reflects not only the caliber of the program, but also why it is one of the most coveted and respected designations in the industry.

In May 2010, Jay earned the SIOR Designation as an Office Specialist.

Only the industry’s top professionals qualify for the SIOR. Today there are 3,000 SIOR members in 580 markets in 26 countries. The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) is a global organization that certifies commercial real estate providers.

Individuals who earn SIOR Designation adhere to the highest levels of experience, accountability and ethical standards.

A Fargo resident since 1966, Jay serves as a volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce, serves as the president of the board of directors for the Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre, serves as a board member on the Jefferson Area Neighborhood Association (JANA) board, and delivers lunches weekly as a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
