A.John Richwine CCIM

John is the Managing Director of MarketPoint Associates. He became a licensed Michigan real estate agent in 1974 and has more than 40 years of industry experience. Before beginning his real estate career, John worked as an accountant at a C.P.A. firm preparing income tax returns and audits for various municipalities. Since then he has owned multiple Michigan based businesses, related to the commercial real estate and business brokerage industry, Richwine Realty, Merit Mortgage Company and Business & Real Estate Network to name a few. All have either sold or successfully merged with other corporations or organizations. In addition to his expertise in residential/commercial planning, development and management, he also specializes in the entitlement of raw land and commercial properties. Throughout his career, John developed educational programs that have been offered to business brokers throughout the state of Michigan. In 1992, he formed a separate business appraisal company that presently offers expert business evaluation services. In 2005, John renamed and updated his already flourished real estate business of 17 years, Business & Real Estate Network to MarketPoint Associates which continues to provide qualified brokering and adept counseling of business and real estate investments for acquisitions, mergers and divestitures. John received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Cleary University and has long held the prestigious commercial investment real estate designation of becoming a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) through the National Association of Realtors of which only 9,000 Realtors have qualified. He is an active member of the National Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute; as well as being a State Director and President of the Michigan Business Brokers’ Association. In 1974 John filled the position as an elected trustee for Monroe Township in Michigan. As Township Trustee, he was integral in overall township policies and appointed to the planning commission as well as various task forces until he was appointed the Township Supervisor position which he held until his term ended in 1982. Other civic activities have included the following: President of Monroe County Realtors, Treasurer of Ann Arbor Board of Realtors, officer of Michigan Chapter of CCIM and President of Huron Valley Lions Club.
