Blaine holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Florida's real estate program. He has been an active member of UF's Center for Real Estate Studies advisory board for the past 15 years and served as chairman in 2004. Blaine has been a licensed real estate broker since 1979 and earned his CCIM designation in 1987. After 10 years with CBRE in sales and management positions, Blaine turned his attention to development projects. He has completed development projects with Lincoln Property Company, The Wilson Company, and CNL over the past 15 years. Blaine formed his own development company, Remora Partners, in 2002, and used it to participate in a JV with Mainsail Development Group, LLC, from 2005 - 2008. MDG completed a variety of retail, office and hospitality projects in central Florida. Remora then ventured with Sonata Health Care to focus on the development of senior housing and medical facilities across the southeastern US. Today, Blaine serves as an adjunct professor at Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, a CCIM instructor and a commercial real estate coach with The Massimo Group.
